SONG OF THE WEEK : MAROON 5 “Animals” [Numero 118]

    *ABOUT*

    ITALIANO

      ENGLISH

For this week i’ve chosen “Animals” , second single taken from Maroon 5’s fifth studio album “V”, that in less than a month already sold around 500,000 copies.

“Animals” is a song full of that energy of which is the heart of the lyrics, animal instinct – smell- sensations- feelings- sex, and the reason why this is “Song of the week” is not because of it of because of Adam Levine being incredibly hot in the video, but because Maroon 5 , after 10 years, are still strong, more than ever, and their sound, in a music biz where is almost impossible to find a personality they have one, and it’s unique. Talent show,youtube/vevo, places where people can easily become stars if particularly interesting or good (and cute) nobody (til now) has overshadowed their image and sound. Not to mention Adam’s voice , sometimes a bit weird!

“Animals” is to me better than “Maps”, even if very similar. I can say that Maroon 5 are the band of the “SEXY ROCK”, a sound between pop and rock , with pop exterior but with a rock soul.

Speaking about sex can be difficult, criticised for being too easy or too vulgar, but at the same time if dealt in a good way, can be still a pleasure and interesting, entertaining. This song is an ode to all of this, to that physical attraction that can drive us really crazy, making us losing the thin line between human and animals, where all we feel and want is to have someone, that thing that can be even mistaken for love. Desire. Dangerous.

The videoclip has been highly criticised for Adam Levine appearing naked multiple times (not the A side, but just B side!) and having sex in various ways with a cute blondie. Well, we are in the world where someone can fancy and lick hammers and embrace a big penis in front of a stage, and being still adored and have loads of fans, so who cares if Adam Levine’s (beautiful) ass is shown a little more than occured?

At least Maroon 5 are not doing it to gain major exposion, because they were and still are a strong albums&singles-sales band. They’re still playing their cards which are, by the way, a lot

Do you  like it? Let them know with a comment and/or a reblog:)

    *TESTO / LYRICS*

Baby I’m preying on you tonight
Hunt you down eat you alive
    Just like animals
    Animals
    Like animals-mals

Maybe you think that you can hide
I can smell your scent for miles
    Just like animals
    Animals
    Like animals-mals
    Baby I’m

So what you trying to do to me
    It’s like we can’t stop, we’re enemies
But we get along when I’m inside you, eh
    You’re like a drug that’s killing me
    I cut you out entirely
But I get so high when I’m inside you

Yeah you can start over you can run free
You can find other fish in the sea
You can pretend it’s meant to be
But you can’t stay away from me
I can still hear you making that sound
Taking me down rolling on the ground
You can pretend that it was me
    But no, oh

Baby I’m preying on you tonight
Hunt you down eat you alive
    Just like animals
    Animals
    Like animals

Maybe you think that you can hide
I can smell your scent for miles
    Just like animals
    Animals
    Like animals-mals
    Baby I’m

So if I run it’s not enough
You’re still in my head forever stuck
So you can do what you wanna do, eh
I love your lies I’ll eat ’em up
    But don’t deny the animal
That comes alive when I’m inside you

Yeah you can start over you can run free
You can find other fish in the sea
You can pretend it’s meant to be
But you can’t stay away from me
I can still hear you making that sound
Taking me down rolling on the ground

THE VOICE OF ITALY: AUDIENCE E PRIME IMPRESSIONI.

    the%20voice%20of%20italy-logo-giudici-coach-

Giovedì 7 Marzo è andata in onda la prima puntata di “The Voice of Italy” , versione italiana del format americano “The Voice”, che in USA ha 4 giudici come Christina Aguilera, Cee Lo Green, il frontman dei Maroon 5 Adam Levine e l’artista country Blake Shelton.

    the-voice-official-poster

    COME FUNZIONA

    Fatemi sapere!
