    BRIT AWARDS 2015 : NOMINATIONS, VINCITORI E PERFORMANCES 

    Il 25 Febbraio è andata in onda la 35esima edizione dei BRIT AWARDS, premio musicale più ambito dell’Inghilterra. La manifestazione è andata in onda su ITV dalla prestigiosa arena The O2 di Londra e sono stati presentati da Ant & Dec e hanno fatto un ascolto pari a 5,76 milioni di telespettatori , riprendendosi di circa 2 milioni dai tragici risultati del 2014 (3,86 milioni).

     

    Due awards vinti per Sam Smith e 2 per Ed Sheeran, che confermano il loro dominio mondiale coi rispettivi album “In The Lonely Hour” (3,4+ milioni di copie vendute nel mondo) e “X” (4,8+ milioni di copie vendute nel mondo).

    Dopo aver ottenuto il terzo doppio disco di platino di platino consecutivo col suo ultimo lavoro “A Perfect Contradiction”, Paloma Faith vince finalmente il premio come miglior artista femminile , meritattisimo!

    La caduta di Madonna.

    Madonna torna ai Brit Awards dopo ben 20 anni! L’ultima volta fu nel 1995 , con “Bedtime Story” e quest’anno torna, in pompa magna per presentare “Living for Love” , che anticipa l’uscita del suo tredicesimo album “Rebel Heart”. Durante tale esibizione, però, IL FATTACCIO: Madonna cade rovinosamente da svariati scalini (in seguito dà colpa allo stilista del vestito per aver avuto difficoltà nello slacciamento del capo, come previsto dalla coreografia). Ovviamente quei pochi secondi sono diventati la cosa piu discussa e twittata dell’evento ma la “Queen of Pop” , con tutta la sua lunga esperienza, si rialza prontamente e conclude in gran stile la sua performance. Come andrà il suo nuovo album discograficamente parlando?

    GRAMMY AWARDS 2015: VINCITORI, NOMINATIONS E PERFORMERS! 

    Domenica 8 Febbraio si è tenuta la 57esima edizione dei GRAMMY AWARDS, gli Oscar della musica , al Staples Center di Los Angeles. L’evento, programmato sulla CBS , ha registrato un ascolto medio pari a circa 25,30 milioni di telespettatori (in discesa di circa 5 milioni rispetto a 2013 e 2014) , ed è stato condotto per la quarta volta consecutiva dal , consolidato, rapper LL Cool J.

    Il protagonista indiscusso è stato senza dubbio Sam Smith, che si è portato a casa ben 4 statuatte su 6 nominations ricevute, e si è preso gli awards più importanti tra cui Best Pop Vocal Album (“In The Lonely Hour” che ha venduto oltre 3,3 milioni di copie in un anno) , Song & Record of the Year per la sua hit single “Stay With Me”.

    Beyoncè e Pharrell si sono comunque difesi più che bene, con 3 grammy vinti a testa e due grammys sono andati anche a Beck (tra cui Album of the Year, A SORPRESA DIREI, per il suo “Morning Phase”) , Jay Z, Eminem , Kendrick Lamar  e Jack White.

    Lady Gaga vince , assieme a Tony Bennett, un grammy per il suo “Cheek to Cheek” (oltre 1 milione di copie vendute) come Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album e Katy Perry rimane, ancora una volta, a bocca asciutta nonostante le due nominations , le sue super vendite discografiche e la buona performance della serata, con “By The Grace of God” e Madonna torna trionfante , in una divina rendition del suo nuovo singolo “Living for Love”, che anticipa l’uscita del suo 13esimo album “Rebel Heart”.

    Con all’attivo oltre 600,000 copie vendute in UK il disco  , grazie all’effetto “Brit Awards” , torna nella top 10 della UK Albums Chart al 2 scorsa settimana , e mantiene tale numero anche questa settimana.

    Undicesima settimana in top 10  dopo il rientro in classifica , il secondo album d’inediti di Ellie Goulding, uscito nell’Ottobre 2012, risale dal numero 4 al numero 3 ( 3 settimane non consecutive al numero 1) .     Nella sua quarta settimana in top 10 ,  il primo singolo solista in 8 anni di Pharrell Williams è stabile per seconda settimana in vetta. Oltre 2 milioni di copie vendute.

    2-KATY PERRY FT. JUICY J-Dark Horse

    Dopo il flop di “Unconditionally” ( #14 USA, Oltre 400,000 copie vendute ) , il promo viene promosso a terzo singolo ufficiale . Sesta settimana in top 10 per il terzo singolo estratto da “Prism” di Katy Perry. Il brano rimane in vetta per due settimane (nono #1 single per Katy!) e ora è stabile in seconda posizione. “Dark Horse” ha all’attivo già oltre 3 milioni di copie vendute negli USA.

    Il singolo , inizialmente solo del duo A Great Big World, viene impreziosito dalla partecipazione dell’Aguilera e cosi, grazie a due esibizioni magiche ed un toccante video, raggiunge la top 10 USA dopo aver già raggiunto la numero 1 delle hot digital sales. Questa settimana, la decima in top 10 , il pezzo ha all’attivo oltre 2,7 milioni di copie vendute in USA ed è in discesa dal numero 4 al numero 8.

    ll singolo è estratto dal terzo album della band , “Native”. Ha raggiunto il #1 in UK. Nella sua tredicesima settimana in top 10 il singolo è in discesa dal numero 3 al 9. Oltre 3,5 milioni di copie vendute in USA.
