Nella notte del Gennaio si è tenuta a la 72esima edizione dei prestigiosi Golden Globes, conosciuti da tutti come gli awards più importanti dopo gli Oscars. La cerimonia, andata in onda sulla ABC, ha totalizzato 19,3 milioni di telespettatori ed è stata condotta dalla coppia di comiche più amate d’America , Tina Fey (30 Rock) e Amy Poehler (Parks and Recreation), che sono state per anni le protagoniste del famoso “Saturday Night Live”.

Tra i grandi vincitori della serata, nel versante FILM, Boyhood ottiene tre statuette su 5 nominations mentre Birdman e The Theory of Everything ne guadagnano 2 su , rispettivamente, 7 e 4 nominations ricevute.
Per quanto riguarda le SERIE TV, invece, sono The Affair, Fargo e Transparent a vincere 2 premi cadauno, dimostrando ancora una volta la superiorità del via cavo e dell’on demand rispetto alle reti in chiaro. Con Transparent , Amazon vince il primo premio come azienda anche produttrice di serialità televisiva , entrata dal 2014 in competizione con Netflix.

La 65esima edizione degli Emmy Awards , che premiano i migliori programmi del primetime televisivo americano , si sono tenuti il 22 Settembre scorso al Nokia Theatre , nella Downton L.A. in California. La rete capo d’ascolti CBS ha trasmesso l’evento e ha portato a casa ben 17,63 milioni di telespettatori , il risultato più alto ottenuto dall’evento dal 2005.
L’edizione di quest’anno è stata particolarmente significativa in quanto ha visto Netflix , web television e compagnia di consegna dvd porta-a-porta , aggiudicarsi ben 14 nominations per tre delle sue webserie “Arrested Development” ( ritornata in onda con la 4^ stagione , dopo esser stata chiusa nel 2006) , “Hemlock Grave” e l’acclamato “House of Cards” , prima webserie a giudicarsi il premio Emmy .
La cerimonia , oltre alle solite nominations e premiazioni, ha visto 5 momenti “tributo” per personaggi famosi scomparsi durante l’anno corrente. Robin Williams ha presentato un tributo a Jonathan Winters , Rob Reiner un tributo a Jean Stapleton , Jane Lynch un tributo al giovane Cory Monteith , Michael J. Fox un tributo a Gary David Goldberg e Edie Falco ha tributato l’ex consorte nella serie cult USA “I Soprano” , James Gandolfini.
Ancora una volta è la rete HBO ad ottenere il numero massimo di nominations , con 37 voci e a seguire si difendono molto bene anche la NBC (22) e la rete via cavo Showtime (17).
Ad aggiudicarsi più statuette è la miniserie targata HBO“Behind the Candelabra” , con 3 Emmys , mentre “Veep” (HBO) , “Homeland” (Showtime) “The Colbert Report” (Comedy Central) “Modern Family” e l serie uscente “Breaking Bad” (AMC) stanno tutte a quota 2 statuette vinte.
